COLLAGEN INDUCTION THERAPY

About Collagen Induction Therapy

Medical Micro-Needling

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT™), also known as medical micro-needling, is an innovative skin treatment that harnesses your skin's own natural powers of regeneration. Micro-needling creates a natural healing response and powerful growth factors resulting in increased collagen and elastin production. This treatment tightens the skin and achieves significant results without damage.

Medical micro-needling is especially effective for addressing fine lines and wrinkles, lack of elasticity, acne scarring, sun damage, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, and dilated blood vessels. Collagen Induction Therapy triggers a natural healing response wherever it is applied on the face and body and is suitable for all skin types. Studies have shown that a series of 3-6 treatments over the course of three months maximizes collagen induction and offers the longest-lasting results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  How soon will I see improvements?
Collagen Induction Therapy stimulates the body’s own regenerative collagen production. It takes time for this process to become visible and patients should expect to see significant improvements within three to six weeks after each treatment. The full effect will be achieved within a few months.

Q: How many sessions are recommended?
To achieve maximum benefits from Collagen Induction Therapy, we recommend a course of three to six treatments, spaced out in a minimum of 1 to 2-week intervals. Other options include one treatment per month or six treatments every six months.

Q: What should I expect during the treatment?
This treatment, performed under topical anesthesia, is administered via very fine needles creating tiny pin-pricks in the skin. Post-procedure, the skin appears flushed and may swell for a few days, similar to moderate sunburn. Healing stimulates new skin cells, collagen and elastin production as part of the natural skin regenerative process.
